The Biodynamic Garden Camserney
Picture
A peaceful and healing Place
Since May 2014 we have worked to nurture and convert an acre of donated land in Camserney, Perthshire, into a vibrant biodynamic garden growing vegetables, herbs and flowers
We also promote an understanding of innovative, biodynamic methods and provide vulnerable people in our community with the skills, support and space to train, volunteer and work

In the process the voluntary work team is creating a beautiful and peaceful space for local people to be and tourists to visit enjoying all the wildlife in the garden

We are committed to helping our local communities to eat well and to have a choice in the fresh food they can buy locally as well as promoting biodynamic gardening as an environmentally sustainable choice: ‘chemical free’ with a long term vision for land and garden
So far we have successfully fundraised to erect fences, new gates and other infrastructure including a shed and a state of the art polytunnel. We have received donations of a strimmer, lawnmower  and other tools

We have found markets for our produce through the Aberfeldy Farmers markets and Tayside Food and Drink Festival. In April 2018 we successfully launched a local vegetable box scheme: SOSA Simply Organic Supplies Aberfeldy, which is still expanding its membership.  At the moment we are providing more than 30 families in our community with organic veg box and bread baked by Corbenic Camphill Community Bakery

We have also provided volunteering opportunities for people from the Wellbeing Support Team and people recovering from an illness who are interested in gardening. We have delivered three workshops on Biodynamic Preparations
